H.D. Vest Announces New Senior Portfolio Manager for Fee-Based Solutions

Irving, Texas (February 1, 2007) - H.D. Vest Financial Services® announced today that Jaco Jordaan, CFA, CFP®, ChFC, has joined H.D. Vest Advisory ServicesSM as the new Senior Portfolio Manager. Jordaan brings both portfolio management experience and seven former years of experience at H.D. Vest.

Jordaan will be responsible for maintaining H.D. Vest's overall asset allocation models in accordance with their established allocation methodology, conducting mutual fund due diligence and selection and collaborating with the H.D. Vest Investment Advisory Policy Board. He is directly responsible for the VestPremiere® advisory portfolios with over $600 million in assets comprising over 200 model portfolios.

Jordaan comes to H.D. Vest from PNC Wealth Management in Washington, D.C., where he held the position of Portfolio Manager. While at PNC, he performed independent research and evaluation of both individual securities and mutual funds. Prior to PNC, Jordaan was with H.D. Vest for seven years in various positions both in the Financial Planning Support and Customer Service areas. His last position with H.D. Vest was Advisor Recruiting Manager.

Jordaan holds a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a master of science degree in financial analysis from the College of Financial Planning. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERT and Chartered Financial Consultant.
