This department is your primary contact with H.D. Vest and is dedicated to providing you with business-building strategies, technical support, case analysis and product recommendations. Each Wealth Management Support consultant is an insurance licensed general securities representative, who has completed or is pursuing the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation.

Retirement Planning assists you with technical retirement support and training. The department's goal is to help you better service your clients' retirement related needs while helping you increase revenue through the implementation of retirement programs, including IRAs, SEP-IRAs, SIMPLE IRAs, Solo (k)s and Qualified Plans.
After two years of providing personal and business tax needs for a married couple, an H.D. Vest Advisor suggested that the pair set up an employer-sponsored retirement plan. Even though their main objective was to save taxes, the couple politely refused.
Confident that his clients would benefit from his advice, and realizing that he needed more information about the ideal solution, the Advisor enlisted the help of a Retirement Services Specialist to learn more about retirement planning alternatives.
Armed with newfound knowledge, and buoyed by a better comfort level, the Advisor scheduled another meeting with his clients. This time, he was able to clearly explain that the wife would save money by setting up a SEP IRA for the prior year and a Solo(k) for the current year — helping the couple see the dual benefits of tax and retirement savings. That same week, the couple deposited $27,500 into a SEP IRA, with plans to fully fund a Solo(k) for the current year by year's end.
Using the dramatically expanded product knowledge and increased confidence gained from working with a Retirement Services Specialist, the Advisor has since established several employer-sponsored retirement plans for his clients.

Insurance Planning provides dedicated insurance specialists who are trained to assist with planning complex strategies and understanding specific policy details and the intricacies of the various recommended products, as well as how to select, position and structure the most suitable solution to meet clients' needs.
Gaining client acceptance is just one aspect of completing the transaction. What do you do to actually place the trade? What are the record-keeping requirements? What if clients have questions about their statements? The operational and customer service side of the business can often place undue stress on an Advisor. For this reason, H.D. Vest has several departments to help you with the process, including General Support, Compliance and Sales Supervision and Software Support.

We offer two forms of local support: the Chapter Program and the Mentor Program. Our Chapter Program consists of over 100 Chapters nationwide, led by successful H.D. Vest Advisors. These chapters meet six times a year, outside of tax season. They give you the opportunity to not only learn more about financial planning but also network and share experiences with other H.D. Vest Advisors. If you are committed to growing the financial side of your business and are looking for the opportunity to work more closely with a successful H.D. Vest Advisor, we strongly recommend you take a look at the Mentor Program, which pairs you up with a successful H.D. Vest Advisor to help you learn the business. Both of these programs are offered at no additional cost to you; however, the Mentor Program does require that you hit certain production goals along the way. Pairing local support with the home office support will help you build a roadmap for a successful financial services practice.
The home office is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Standard Time. Because our Advisors value the support teams, General Support and Wealth Management Support are available 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Central Standard Time, Monday through Friday, and Saturday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. During the final month of tax season we offer extended hours until 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
